I see when on various online sites.
Plant strawberries in fall.
Others say can plant now.
???? Help. I am in VA. Zone 7

I planted mine in very early summer last year. Mine did fine. They were live plants.

They always seem really resiliant to me so I'd be tempted to probably just plant loads of them now and hopefully then you might get more runners too. Maybe a bit of mulch if it's dry weather still.
I'll grow mine higher up from the ground next year in some sort of defensive towers as we get plenty of slugs around here and they love them. I might give them a little bit of organic root booster and liquid silicon once they've settle in a bit. Good luck.
