I had a question about 2nd amendment topics. I realized that I couldn't go here for that. So I went onto this one website called www.survivalistboards.com. And then I asked a few questions that I couldn't ask here. Or that weren't things for here.

Well right away I got censored the 2nd day on that forum. I thought it was a one off. And I asked some other things. One of the things I mentioned was UK news articles. I wasn't combative or rude. Wasn't being political either. But on that forum I got censored. Again. And then again. And then again. I was really shocked by this.

Anyway what I wanted to bring up is that some sites censor TONS of stuff. Some of them the moderators can be totally crazy with drunk on power too. That site is one of them. I thought this might be interesting to bring up. Are people finding that out on other sites too? And how do you know which sites are friendly and not drunk on power?

I've never had any problems here. This site everyone is super nice. Everyone is kind too. Never had a problem here. I think our moderators are nice too. But its amazing how in one place they can be good, and in other areas they could just be like a hatchet squad. I think on that site mentioned above I had about 40% of the stuff I put up censored in some way. Some of it was because I mentioned the G word... ( G o d ). Which I wasn't pushing any religion on anyone but for some sites just mentioning the G word period will invite trouble. And mentioning a news article without taking sides on it can be viewed as political to some people even when you aren't being political.

Well its just surprising...

There are some crazy sites out there and can be dangerous. The biggest mistake one can make is to think people out are the same as you and me. Thats how people get in trouble by mis-placing trust.

Rule # 1 never trust anyone you can't see and don't know. Even the Weatherman has hidden motives.

Rule # 2 Never trust any new information as being fact.

After doing a little research, I have come to believe that the internet is mostly a bunch of lies based on greed and deception. Just by looking at a new site, the site can infect your computer and steal information about you, and you don't even know it. That's why the site exists in the first place. Be careful.

I am surprised mention of God gets censored, almost everyone seems to believe in some form of one, I tend to keep my atheism to myself. Love the bit in Catch 22 where she gets uptight and yells "No, no, that is not the God I don't believe in, the God I don't believe in is kind and just." There seem to be a lot of people like that.

Keep in mind some sites are monitored by small, minded people who in real life have never been any type of leader. Who find the site they monitor their only prestigious position they have ever had or will have in their eyes.

It's good they get some sort of responsibility in their life isn't it.
