This is the view out of my bedroom window this morning.

We've got a light dusting on the ground, but it's stopped for now. Looks like we're going to escape the worst of it up in Manchester.

Its starting to thaw here now, more forecast though.

"Dad" has the joy of washing all the clothes again now. At least my Sisters cat Wees in the sink & the loo. Looks like we got a thick one.

That's awesome! I wish that was my view when I awake in the morning. I live in Florida and there is never any snow outside; all we have is rain and sunshine. This morning when I awoke, it was just a sunny day. Where are you located? I live to visit a state where it's currently snowing.

I saw on the TV news last night London had a max and min of -2C.
Is that at all possible. I thought perhaps it was a typo.
It would be like living in freezer.
How cold is it up your way zigs?
Florida sounds like it's having nice weather. I guess it's winter there as well thelovelyone?

Minus 2? That's positively tropical.

We had minus 8 degrees C where I am, about 250 miles north of London.

I'm on about the same latitude as London Jed, Cold but not too bad. Last winter it got down to -17c, thats about the temperature of a domestic freezer.

Clueless lives in the frozen North, they're tougher than us soft southern pansies

Zigs, you have a wonderful view there . But, as you all probably know because I lament constantly, I'm so sick of snow . I want it to melt! Sure, it looks pretty, but it's also cold and wet and flowers look prettier anyway

Just been down the farm to get a sack of Tiddies. Was greeted by furious bleating from the flock of Blue Faced Leicesters in the barn.

They're not very happy about not being in the fields, but its not just snowy, its also sopping wet, which would be no good for their feet.

-2C? Oh my goodness, I am certain I would not survive in weather like that. Is it safe to go outside in the weather that is that cold? I know I would devolpment all kinds of illnesses. Yes, it's really nice in Florida during this time, the only thing I hate is that it is not predictable. Just last night it was cool when it was extremely hot all day. Today, it's warm with winds and it's about to rain. Florida weather is nice but it is constantly changing.

-2c is fine, just been standing outside having a fag in just a jumper, not a problem

-17c is where it starts to get a bit dodgy, especially if you are sleeping in an unheated caravan, which I have done for many winters.

Are we talking about -2 degree Celsius? It's not that bad...actually, during winter, it's quite warm - sometimes it's much colder. Much, much colder . Real problems start when it's below -20, which fortunately doesn't happen often
