I’ve got a corner in my garden that gets barely 2–3 hours of sunlight, and most flowers I try there just don’t do well. Any recommendations for beautiful, low-maintenance blooms that love the shade? I’d love to bring that area to life this spring.

I use topical plants in containers in shaded areas. So many different choices and easy to care for plants.

Shady garden spots can definitely be tricky, but there are some gorgeous plants that thrive in low light! For beautiful, low-maintenance blooms, I’d recommend astilbe, bleeding hearts, foxglove, or even impatiens if you want consistent color. Hostas also do great in shade and come in tons of varieties — they’re technically foliage, but so pretty they count as decor Also, check out eflorist — sometimes they have seasonal plant bundles or inspiration boards that can help spark ideas for shaded spaces.
