Scary car accident

My hubs and i were coming from our social ballroom dancing afternoon on Thursday and hubby had a major health scare ,while driving and major road in Adelaide ( Some may remember me mentioning Port Adelaide) , where all petrols stored / trucks carting/ shipping containers from ..just down the peninsula a bit at outta harbour / cement trucks
We had the accident on that major road ….

…..sigh ..anyway he had something happed that’s even got the doctors baffled …( he’s been in hospital since )
I was there with him ,when a cardiologist came in to speak to him yesterday ,and said i think your heart may have stopped

and the jolt of driving across 2 lanes of traffic , ( on our side the road ) driving over a concrete island in the middle of the road the hitting a car travelling in opposite direction on the other side of the concrete Island …..may have restarted his heart ….

Im a bit traumatised by the terrifying accident …..after 2 days I’ve never had and been in a car accident in my life ….so I’d never want to experience it again
our car quite a bit if damage , it’s not know till after the end of Aug if it can be repaired , in the meantime I’m stranded in Adelaide
He hit a car , but very luckily no one was injured ..thank goodness .

( neighbours are coming to pick me up and take me home tomorrow) but hubs will stay here in Adelaide hospital till he can get home
on the bus ( our area has a Heath bus he can catch home )

Our car is. SUV Nissan …I believe it’s made in the U K

That is so scary. Good the accident was limited as it was. Its hard to get over that. Probably don't want to get over that. Probably need to figure out how to stop the car from passenger side.
We were driving a lot from January to April, trips the show car and trailer. I am always alert. Crosses my mind what I would do if he suddenly slumped. How I would stop everything from the passenger side. I know where the trailer brakes are, and can easily reach. Perhaps you need to go thought a thought process like that in the future of him driving. Mine does have a history of a heart attack.

We are both home and recovering quite well , the head cardiologist at the hospital halved hubs tablet he takes if the has a Aterial fibrillation event ….his heart rate was 70/40 so he’s had a pacemaker fitted
Let’s all hope that solves his issues , as for me the last 2 nights I’ve actually got 7 hours sleep ..mind you broken sleep ..but hey it’s better than 1 hour sleep i was getting …..since the accident .
We bought an unseen Aussie made ..,well to be more correct South Australian ( in Adelaide ) made car Called a holden Cruise , to get us through the hard times of trying to attended doctors appoitment s / shopping ( as I’ve mentioned i dont live in a actual town )
( Holdens are now closed )

We are catching a public transport bus to the city tomorrow morning ,and the car dealership will pick us up to go do the paperwork for our wheels so we are not isolated

In Australia anyone involved in a car accident has to have a drug and alcohol blood test ( on arrival at a hospital )
before insurance will settle claims ..it takes 4-6 weeks
We’d just left our dancing venue 1/2 hour before the accident , our dance venues are community halls ..no booze at any we attend …..and if there was I would not attend the venues / dances ……so in saying all that the strongest they’d ever find in my hubs blood is black coffee
We are a bit in the boring side , don't smoke ~ never have ~ never tried drugs other than what doctors give for BP and Hubs AF ….ive never touched booze ..hubs will have a beer once or twice a year …so theres no chance of finding anything illegal in his

I got a friend who just bought a scissor lift unseen. I think it's a great lift, he thinks they catfished him with old pictures of when it was newer.

This issue could be an invention in waiting. to have something available on the passenger side that can stop the car, even steer it to the curb. or something.
