Fantastic article @smitty55 Thank you so much for posting it.

Very encouraging to see that the glyphosate in soil can be broken down by natural organic methods. That is huge...maybe even to those who claim completely incorrectly that glyphosate has zero soil residual.

Did you note that the corn grown in that plot after glyphosate was 80 to 90% neutralized was superior to previous crops.

This is just a beginning, IMO, now scientists will develop methods of shortening the process and making it commercially viable. This is a huge step forward.

Of course, until the science advances, the best thing you can do is never ever apply it to your garden soils. But that alone is not sufficient. You must also ensure that any soil amendments are glyphosate free also. Do NOT accept the dialog that says glyphosate is neutral in soil. FALSE.

"The cabbage had been fertilised with manure from chickens and turkeys. Those birds had been fed glyphosate-tolerant GM feed, and the glyphosate residue passed straight through them and into the manure, and from the manure into the soil the cabbage was grown in. Glyphosate is a chelator — it binds up minerals like iron, copper, manganese and zinc so plants can’t get to them. "

Completely unsuspecting gardeners are poisoning their crops in this manner. Not to mention possibly poisoning themselves and those who eat their products.

Without any doubt, commercial farmers widely use this practice of using glyphosate-tolerant feed and entire populations are being affected. We don't know fully what those effects are but this study offers hope that one day the residual poisons of glyphosate can be easily neutralized in soils that grow crops for human consumption.

Supposedly some plants like sunflowers can help remove harmful chemicals like that. Because they'll remove it from the soil and store it in the roots.

So I am hopeful more articles like you posted will keep coming out about how to deal with industrial chemical reside.

One of the documentaries about colony collapse disorder of honey bees, had shown that a lot of the chemicals people are using for all kinds of stuff like glyphosate and others, do stay in the soil for years. And that they do leave a lot of residue from them. And that's part of why people are sick all the time now and from glyphosate.

Right now one of the most harmful foods you can eat is bread. Not just because of glyphosate but because there's a lot of sawdust and lumber in breads.

Our food is really bad right now.
