Rototiller.

We are very lucky to own a rototiller. We use it every year in our garden and it has worked great! But even with the many times we've used it I'v never really thought of what it does to the soil. We have heavy clay soil, but when we rototiller it, we have much more loose, and better quality soil!

I think a rototiller is a great tool.
