Hi! I live in a tropical climate. I’ve bought a few rosemary in pots but all of them died on me. I followed the watering instructions but they never last long. Why?

Plants die for many reasons. Without knowing what the plants symptoms were it's impossible to know. And without pictures even more impossible. After death did you perhaps take the plant out of the container and look at the roots? I bet they were black.

Yep. My guess is that in a tropical climate the mediterranean rosemary found it to wet and\or too much solar intensity. It would want partial shade at a minimum and a very well draining soil in a climate where the very air can moisten the dirt. Here in zone usda 8a I grow it in the yard where it gets midday sun and afternoon shadows. Our average temp is 90f but the solar intensity here is less than yours.
