I just moved into a mobile home community where I am expected to maintain the landscaping. I have a rose bush that seems to have taken over my driveway but it is full of beautiful blooms. I have been told to just cut it back but I don't want to kill it. Can someone give me some advice on how to properly cut it back and care for it without killing it. It probably helps to say I live in florida. Thanks for any advice.

When you cut the rose bush cut at the joint on a slant. When the bush has blooms you want to cut the blooms off instead of letting deadhead, cutting the blooms off stimulates the plant to grow more blooms. During the fall months you will want to start cutting the bush back to the ground about 2 feet high. The plant will grow back strong and beautiful. I put coffee grinds and tea leafs around the plant when I water it.
