Hey guys,
I am planning on grafting some tomato varieties onto a rootstock this Spring and was surprised to learn that you can also graft peppers and eggplants. My question is does anyone know specific pepper and/or eggplant varietals I can grow to use as rootstock?

Thanks,
Matt

Okay, now that's interesting!!!! I love grafting, but I never would have thought to graft to a root crop, or even with a pepper for that matter.. Different types of Eggplant together or Tomatoes I would for sure..

You've put an idea in my head now haha! Tomatoes with Peppers.

That is pretty fabulous - the issue is the plants don't produce much of either fruit?
Well T&M are claiming a breakthrough, but they would, wouldn't they?

The issue for me is earting-up; that's how I've been taught to get a good spud yield.
Obviously, this is pointless, as far as spuds go, above the graft line.
Since no potatoes will grow below the root level, tubers being swollen stem, then there seems to me to be obvious natural limitations.
Might be fun for some, but at a hefty price.
