Good afternoon,

I have a lime seedling that I started in a peat pod that sprouted. It’s now about an inch or so tall with healthy leaves and needs to be planted.
I was planning on potting it in a small pot for now until it gets bigger🤞
Would appreciate any suggestions on what type of potting soil I should use and any tips on caring for it in this early stage of growth.
Thanks in advance.

Way to go PoodIemom, I love starting seeds too. Personally like using Fox Farms potting soils for growing plants in pots. If you can't find that, any good quality organic potting mix will do.

Keep the pots small to keep from overwatering your plant. I start my seeds in dixie cups and when the plants get large enough to fill up the cup with roots, I up-pot them into a one-gallon pots. When the tree gets about knee high, I up-pot into 3-gallon pots. Thanks for the post friend and keep up-dated.

Hi. Greatly appreciate your response and advice. Will do. I’m very excited about this little tree. Took awhile to sprout but was worth the wait. Fingers crossed. Thanks again.
