Raising a Branch on a Crabapple

We've got a mature crabapple tree with one branch that droops a little low over our walkway. I don't want to cut the branch off, as it is quite substantial and looks nice. I would rather find some way of raising it up about 8-10" so I don't have to duck every time I walk by. I believe I've seen arborists strap lower branches to higher branches (or higher parts of the trunk) to accomplish this. Are there any particular straps or kits anyone can recommend using? I believe this is something I should be able to do myself, but I want to be sure to find the right tools/materials for the job. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Howdy @Jonny Klobber . I don't think you need a "kit" just some 1/2-inch polyester/nylon rope should do the job. Tie it loosely with loops so as not to choke off the branch.
