Yes better than crab apples. I got a tasty crab apple (john masek) that's really good as apple butter/preserves. But if you want fruit a no spray apple is usually still better than crabs. But the flowers tho
This is a crab asian pear, most likely a hybrid with callery, and the fruit quality is very high, as good as any asian pear just in a small package. I guess the reason you'd grow this is the best fireblight resistance in the market but there's acceptable resistance in larger fruiting varieties (not most larger varieties but I know of one) so... Maybe just the cute factor
Oh and I forgot to mention psuedocydonia are the most beautiful trees like lacebark elms and musclewoods
