So I just planted an avacado pitt and let it go....3 years later I realize youre supposed to prune these things, mine is nearly 9ft tall. Should I prune its horizontal branches and maybe chop it so it's half the height? My worry is it will become unstable and also I would like it to branch out but I'm not sure how much pruning is too much.
