did get two last fall, they did not return this spring. maybe not in the right spot.
Plant primroses beneath tulips.
Primrose Midnight is easy to grow in pots.

However, this Primrose is a Rosy Evening-Primrose (Oenothera speciosa) in the Evening-Primrose family (Onagraceae). It is native to much of the U.S. and northern Mexico and can grow like a most beautiful weed in any sunny, well-drained spot.
I thought I'd mention it, because every other Primrose portrayed on this thread (so far) is a 'true' Primrose (Primula spp., mostly P. x polyanthus) in the Primrose family (Primulaceae). They are native throughout much of the Northern Hemisphere and beyond, but most diverse in Eurasia.
Of course I adore them both, and I suppose that is both the trouble and the glory of common names: all Primroses are welcome.
Why Primroses should be planted
