Profuse, large thorns and yellow flowers?

I don't know if this picture is clear enough to see all the large thorns covering the stems of this plant. It just popped up about 2 weeks ago and is growing vigorously.

That's it! Solanum rostratum Dunal! Like he says at the end of his article, it's nasty, nasty, nasty! I delicatley touched one of the thorns to see if it was in actuality a thorn or just a hairy outcropping and OUCH! Very needly! It's coming out of the ground TODAY. I may have to wear two pairs of gloves but from what I have read in my brief perusal of articles about this plant, there's nothing about it that I am interested in keeping. Thanks Silver surfer!

Wow, those are a lot of thorns but the flowers are in gorgeous yellow! With children and dog in the house/yard, I would too, yank it out.
