Hello everybody,

We had to rush our dog to the vets today and it turns out she came in contact with processionary caterpillars and has a severe allergic reaction. Her tongue is all swollen and she feels really bad, the vet said it is not so bad and we caught it early, so she will be fine with the medication.

Of course we want to prevent anything like this in the future, so we need help with these nasty insects. We have a few pine trees on our property and have seen the nests, we have heard all sorts of horror stories about people trying to kill the nests. If you burn them, the hairs fly everywhere and they stay active for many years. We are planning to cut down all the pine trees, but does anyone know a better way to keep these creatures away or kill them?

Thanks

If you can get the spray high enough Bt (Bacillus thuringensis) will kill them overnight
