Pressure canner Question

I just bought a used pressure canner all american no 7 but it has no weight thingy , ..... it does have a pressure guage 5 - 20 psi but the other that usually is for a 5 - 15 lb weight has a what looks like a little lever ? ( hard to describe ) bent over it releases the air , up does what ? and I'm looking to replace it with a weight ... know any good supply stores ? I sure appreciate your help and time ... Thanks !

Glad that you got the problem solved! What actually caused it and how did you go about fixing it?
