Pre-Emergent Herbicide for Flower Garden

I'm trying to decide whether to apply a pre-emergent herbicide to control weeds in my gardens, which have a mix of Tiger Lilies, Daffodils and Iris. My concern is targeting the unwanted "weeds" while not killing the flowers. I'd appreciate any recommendations.
