Funnily enough I found this thread while looking to see if there happened to be any cooking ….for what ever ~ but properly more so what we grow , correct me if I’m wrong but it’s doesn't appear it went any further than this thread

partially in the warmer months Nov to April I can just about make a meal out of what I pick out of my very small garden .

example

sliced Crumbed eggplant
with salad
all out of the garden
Lettuce
cucumber
marinated capisums
pickled zucchinis
tomatoes
spring onions

Followed up by the choice of preserved or dried / apricots / peaches / plums or apples

It would be very interesting to read what people cook with their garden produce as I dislike any raw greens on my plate. My pet hate is when ordering a hot dish it comes unexpectedly with a side dish of green side salad.

Raw greens the best. Cooking greens does delete a lot of the nutrients. Look it up. Vit. C is very fragile. I know we have our own likes etc.
I cringe when someone buys Iceberg lettuce, its a nothing salad compared to other greens out there. Yep, going online and checking is fun. Simple things like Pumpkin pie, where making it with sweet potato are double the nutritional value. Over the years I have converted myself to eat better through education. Too much over processed junk out there. Just my opinion.

I have taken zucchini, and eggs, potatoes, carrots, onions, mixed together, baked in a caste iron skillet. There are zucchini fritters, which is good. can make spinach fritters same way. Just quick offerings.

I guess your being funny. I don't boil my carrots, or brussel sprouts. lots of better ways to cook those.
No joke boiling is best. I agree with you about iceberg lettuce. Nothing is better than a soft leaf soggy English Lettice.

all boiling does is suck vitamins out of the carrots and then you pour that liquid down the drain. I steam mine, or roast them in little olive oil and cumin.
