I started a few bell peppers from seed. Gave one to my mom and kept one. She has peppers, I have a tall leafy plant. Please tell me that this flower means a pepper is shortly behind it!? I have a few hot pepper plants that just started flowering too (no idea what kind, package just said "hot pepper"). They are probably not getting enough sun, but this is about as good as I can do for now. Mom has an incredible lawn where she can get lots of sun to hers. (Seriously envious of my parents lawn/garden, haha! )

I see a lot of buds on there, chances are some of those will start turning into peppers soon!

Did it just rain or did you just water them? Peppers don't like/need a lot of water, and if you did just water them try to keep the water on the ground and not get the leaves wet. Ah Florida, I'm going to guess it just rained ;)

Peppers (bell and chili) have perfect flowers, like tomatoes, but need more encouragement to pollinate.
I put my hands through the plant and support it with open fingers, like finger-combing hair, and give it a good shake.
If it's viable, this will work, if it's not, it will shake off and the plant won't expend any more wasted energy or resources on it.
It will not shake off a viable flower.

I touch each open flower with a paint brush, just go from one to another, they will all be pollinated then.

I guess I should update this. I have had several peppers now from it, with air 6 or 8 on it right now. Haven't really done anything different. They are way sweeter than store bought, by the way.
