Please help identify this plant and help me rescue it

Hi there, i have a plant I inherit from a home and it looks like it's dying. Can you guys help me identify and suggest what actions I should take to keep it healthy. I live in the bay area where there are plenty of sunlight. I also have a dripper system. I have this soil meter device and the soil level reads moist.

Hi and welcome to GF
It looks like pyracantha, does it have white flowers then red berries?

I haven't seen any. Here is a zoomed out picture which I forgot to include

I’d give it a good clipping. A hair cut would make a more pleasing shape and should invigorate thicker growth. Now is a great time for pruning also.

Japanese Boxwood
May be to much water
