What plant is this? My mom had it and I brought it home.The leaves are dropping so if anyone could help with getting it healthy I would very much appreciate it! The stem looks like a tree branch... Thank you!!

Wow! Such oddly poor pictures and I think you have it! I was headed toward a tricolor ginger for a half second but I think your observation is much better!

It looks quite dark down in that bucket, and the lamp in with it is directly on it, but does not look like one that will give the wavelengths plants need. Croton needs bright, indirect light, warmth and humidity.
