This is the common variegated form of Yellow Archangel (Lamium galeobdolon 'Florentinum'), also known as Yellow Dead-nettle. It is a trailing evergreen perennial in the Mint Family (Lamiaceae). It is native to much of Europe and southwestern Asia.

Brilliant thank you, can the leaves be sheared down to ground level or best leaving it ? Cheers

It's best not to remove all of the leaves and branches. Instead just selectively shorten the ones you don't want.
Also, as it has long, flexible branches you may reposition them to grow in the direction you prefer, rather than pruning them off.
