In summer of 2014 I planted many trees in Poway, California including 2 Pindo palms from a 25 gallon container. One is thriving while the other lost the leader or bloom spike from turning brown so I pulled the dead leader 18 months ago. The other palms are great too. I am posting 3 pics of the brown Pindo today taken this month in August 2017 and one pic of the thriving Pindo both planted at the same time on the same hill from the same size 25 gallon container.
Maybe it was a lack of water originally or poor drainage in the soil on the hill but other trees planted in that area at that time are good. I'd be happy to hear any suggestions on how to help this Pindo Palm.
