I did trimmed my photus today as it had long vines with few leaves on the top. There was a piece which has a one foot aerial root in it . I did plant it in another pot , but not sure if I done well as I thought at first it's a node but after I googled I found out it's an aerial root . Is it ok for the aerial root to be submerged in soil ? Will it get roots ok r I shall remove it ?

I prefer rooting my cuttings in water first, and when some roots start to come out, I place them into the soil. However, I've heard people who rooted their cuttings directly in soil and it went well, and as Pothos is quite hard to kill maybe it can handle it.
