Persimmon tree problem

Hello, I have a fully grown persimmon tree in my yard. I live in California and it went from being healthy at the beginning of summer to being in really bad shape in just a few months, it's leaves are completely brown. Does anyone know what is causing this, any help or advice is welcome.

Fuyu? The big orange round tomato looking fruit? It may be retiring early. Tell me about rainfall history in your yard and if you are allowed to water it?

Hi, Yes I'm allowed to water it. I'm not sure of the variety, the fruits are small and compacted not the larger one. I've tried attaching a picture but I am having difficulty doing so. The leaves are completely brown. Everything else in our yard is really green and healthy, so I'm worried.
