Without a picture its impossible to tell what is happening. Some bell peppers/sweet peppers turn black because of blossom end rot or other fungal problems that affect different or all parts of the pepper. Sometimes they turn black because of varietal differences in hybrids. Sometimes they turn black because of improper fertilization.. In all cases of them turning black the only real problem is when it is caused by a fungal problem which makes them inedible. Send a picture and we might be able to tell which it is.
