Hi guys. Any idea why my okra plants are suddenly looking like this and leaves losing colour. It’s always been a light shade of purple so never thought much of it but now it’s much more intense ! Getting worried

As shown in the pictures the purpling gets worse with age. Old growth has a lot of purple, new growth none. Purpling is caused by a lack of phosphorus but I think your problems are more than that. It looks as if you did not fertilize or fertilized with the wrong amount. Also, on all of the leaves I see that the leaf tips are brown. That means too much water. That and the lack of nutrients could cause susceptibility to a lot of different diseases which could cause the sudden curling and death of the leaves.

Wow that is the most mind blowing analysis I’ve seen. I feel like you are spot on everywhere.
1) I only recently started gardening, that okra was one of the first ones I planted with no knowledge of gardening. I just threw a pack of compost and seeds and hoped for the best. So you’re right I did not fertilise.
2) I used to see the top soil dry and think it’s time to water coupled with my sandy soil that drains too fast I thought I should water intensely, I used to water nearly everyday. Only recently did I find out that you should use your finger to check the moisture before watering ? ‍
