OFF THE SCALE FAIL - DIY Honeysuckle pot umbrella sort of thing

Hello all.
I would be ridiculed and pitied for my childish attempts here but the fact remains that my honeysuckle still needs protecting so I'm taking one for the team lol.
My two attempts at shielding the honeysuckle I've managed to grow over my porch canopy is taking far too much rainwater run-off from roof it's beneath and my attempts to make a kind of shelter have been, at best, pathetic.
It's too wet to go and get a cheap brolly (which I wish I'd considered before the mess I made of the contraptions had killed my confidence completely.)
What do you use please? Is there an invention? I'm pretty sure there must be, right?

Hello all.
... my honeysuckle still needs protecting so I'm taking one for the team lol.

Why? I grow lots of it without any protection whatsoever. It is hardy to -20 deg F and is virtually maintenance free here.

If you have a gabled roof on your house over the porch then I see your predicament - no gutters to take the water run off away.

You won't be locked up, so can we see the pictures please? We're here to help not to chastise or laugh at your problem.

If you have guttering and downpipes around the porch itself, perhaps you could fix guttering onto the house wall above it and have an extra piece of downpipe feeding into the original.

Or perhaps a sail if you're happy to look at it permanently...

My immediate thought was for a gutter to dump the water somewhere distant, umbrellas probably won't move it far enough.

Pictures of the porch/honeysuckle would be helpful please.

What variety of honeysuckle is it. Most of them are pretty tough and can cope with all manner of abuse. If it’s too wet then my humble opinion would be to improve the drainage
