Yesterday was rubbish, went out and did a little bit, sowed the last few broad beans in the greenhouse, but it rained and rained so I didn't walk far. Today I went to St Thomas' to have the stitches taken out of my eyelid, so did a fair bit of walking and added to it walking up and down the platform while I waited for the train. total 8,649. Half past ten and I am tired, don't suppose I'll do much more now.

7,340. It was supposed to rain all day, but actually the sun came out and I got a fair bit done in the garden and had a short walk.

6.227, Didn't go for a walk yesterday, but went to the shops in Battle looking for celeriac seed, unsuccessfully.

6400 yesterday, mostly walking round shops looking for stuff they didn't have, like heavy duty poly to build a cover for the tomatoes. did get a couple of things. Don't suppose I will do anything much today, the forecast said heavy rain 'til 2pm then light rain. So far it looks accurate, the garden is a quagmire with pools of water standing on it. Just started Barbara Kingsolver, The Bean Trees, so I guess that will keep me occupied. Finished Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir yesterday, the best SF book I have read in a long time.

Drove to London to visit friends, so only about 2.5k, nice day though, talked allotments and sowing, and took someone else 5 sweet pea plants.

The difference between a day spent watching college basketball on the TV and a day spent outside = about 10,000 steps

My day was digging out a compost heap and sieving it, digging over a bit of ground, spreading compost over it, and covering to warm it, fair bit of work, but almost the same number of steps as you probably. Wasn't carrying my counter, left it in my pocket when I changed into work clothes, but 2k would be about right.
