Thought it looked like one of my wildflowers I've wanted to identify but in comparison the leaves look slightly different. Marigolds are what i thought i had before blooming, the yellow and orange blooms are different. The leaves on yours sure look like a marigold. Would love to see it when it does bloom.

Cool. Love to see the pic. I found out here in my zone the big marigolds grow better.

@Dragonfly29 the flower in your photo looks more like a Cosmos sulphureus than a Marigold to me

Ty, i had a mix so didn't know what was what but i remember cosmos was in there. They are cheery.

@Dragonfly29 Yes they are cheery. I grow them in my garden too. The butterflies love them and i do too.

I had marigold and cosmos growing together. Neglected to grab a photo of it. it ended up being huge !
