So i bought seed packets for basil, cilantro, mint....etc(herbs) and I dropped whole packets of seeds in decent sized containters and when they sprout I don't separate the seedlings once they start sprouting I just let them grow and am planning on changing the containers as they grow....so my question is, is it bad to not separate your seeflings in to individual containers and why ?

Hi. :)

The reason for seperating is because you really don't want a clump of herbs all fighting for the same spot - in nature most will die young anyway. So let them get a couple of baby leaves, then snip away all but the biggest and baddest and let them grow.

Baby seedlings are basically impossible to separate into individual pots.(If you figure out how, please post back!) And that is not how Mother Nature would do it anyway. :)
