Hello, and greetings from the midwest. My family bought a house a few years ago with a great garden, full of lovely perennials. The first few years, we've let it coast a bit, but now it needs some real work and some real help. It's a great garden but I don't know yet where to begin and what to fix to make it look less wild and be more usable! Looking forward to meeting everyone and learning more!

Hi BThomas, I'm new here too, also in the Midwest---specifically, Northwest Indiana, just over the border from Chicago Illinois. Enjoy your garden!

Hi Louis Ferdinand!
I’m such a beginner that I don’t know the difference! How can I tell?

A perennial is a flower or plant that usually grows each year. Some of the Spring perennials are hyacinths, daffodils, and tulips.
