New gardener here with a question about indoor plants

Recently moved apartments from off university campus to a nice first level apartment with tons of room for me to practice and put my green thumb to work. I have 2 dogs and a cat, what are some pet friendly indoor plants that I could have around that would also have a decent air filtering effect? I used to have a cactus plant and a small Venus fly trap. unfortunately that was the extent of my indoor plant list.

Any suggestions would be good, just want some greenery in the house.
