Need to Know if this is a weed/tree

Have dug this up and cannot find in any of my gardening books help please

Pic is a bit blurry but it looks a lot like a dogwood tree.

Hi thanks for the reply still not sure , as looked dogwood up in the RHS plant guide and doesn’t look quite same. Just interested to know what it is and worth keeping.
The main dogwood you see here has a Red stem and leaves

It`s very difficult to tell what that is as the picture is not very clear. Is the leaf anything like this Spiraea?

If I were not sure I would look after it in the pot for now and wait to see what it does - you`ll probably get more of a clue if it shows some flower later on.

The leaves are waxy, but yes that is my thinking atm to see if it produces any flowers thank you
