Need suggestions for "Bush Row"

Hi Everyone!
I am a newbie and first time poster!
My front bush row, or hedge if you will, experienced the loss of a long-time family member, and I had to dig it out and lay it to rest.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to replace it? Or, should I pull all of them out and start from scratch?
It is an eyesore and I need to remedy this quickly.
Thanks again for the membership and the advice!

You have a perfect place for some low-growing, flowering shrubs between the clipped greenery. I have no idea where you are (adding that to your sidebar would be a big help!) but azaleas, hydrangeas, any type of native to your area shrub would add interest. Just make sure the shrub won't get taller than the bottom of your windows, and preferably won't need a lot of pruning.
