I just moved into a new rental house (in central Nebraska) back in march and noticed some plants that came along with the place. About 3 weeks ago they started blooming and realized they were roses. Im new to the while gardening thing!but I realized that one is a climbing rose bush they other is a lady Elsie Mae bush and the last one I'm unsure of. For the climbing rose bush I noticed that at the base it's very brown and sick looking and there are some stems that are also brown but for the most part the bush has blossomed all over and mostly a mint dark green. What do I do to the bottom of the bush and also some of the roses have brown spots and look wilted. What can I do for the bushes? Any advice is greatly appreciated! I really want to get into gardening and figured this would be a great way to start by caring for what is growing around my rental home :) I attached some pictures also

Welcome to the forums Tasummen! :)

What beautiful roses! I'm no specialist, but they look like happy healthy plants to me. The brown stems at the bottom of the plant are older branches - they turn woody in time, but that is perfectly normal. Do you have any photos of the roses which are wilted with brown spots?
