Mystery perennial

[Warmheart]

Any gardening sleuths out there able to guess who this plant might be? I forgot what i planted last year!
The plant is big already, maybe a foot high, and shown at the center of the photo, among the daffodil greens, just below the remains of a hyacinth.
Could it be tall phlox, the intense, bright purple one?
Any other guesses?
