This is Cornelius. He was gifted to me late September. Fully bloomed. Now there is one 'stick' left hanging on for dear life!

Here is what I know/have done:
I cut off the yellow ends but many of the other flower stems/foilage literally died off.

I gave it about 4 hours of bright light (indoor plant) And moved it away from bright light as winter set in.

I did transplant it about 2 months before it really regressed into dormancy but now look. Only One stick left. (Lol)

I did a stop/start of watering. Fertilized lightly today.

I'm hanging in there with Cornelius. I'm worried he won't make it. What can I expect within the next 3 - 6 weeks....ughhh.

Look at the roots to see if there's any rotting, if there's a bit you might be able to cut off the bad bits then if you can pot it up in a smaller pot and only water it lightly then stop and see if it re covers.

I did look at the roots and they seem intact and in health. I'd hate to disturb the roots again by transplanting it. Worth the risk?

If they're ok then just put it back in the pot, no need to do anything to them.
Have you got a plant label with it and is it a succulent?

The Calla Lily is a bulb/rhizome. Cut all the top off and wait for it to regrow. In the spring it might benefit from some new compost and a little fertiliser.

Yes. I looked at Cornelius the Calla Lily again today and thought that may be a good way to go.

Thank you.
