Mulch or Not?

Got two Strawberry Beds do I Mulch them?

Plus my Asparagus Bed looked bad so I cleaned it of should I Mulch it?

I'd say go for it, certainly the asparagus, that always appreciates a bit extra. Sometimes mulching strawberries brings the level too high up around the plant and the strawberries end up on the ground and inclined to rot, will you be able to get straw under them to lift them next season?

Missouri gets cold enough to freeze roots, go ahead and mulch everything perrennial that's in the ground. You might top off the strawberry plants with more straw right before it freezes.
