Hello friends. We just moved to northeastern Tennessee and we have a big beautiful yard that we are going to put a number of plants in (food, flowers, and an herb garden). We just bought a number of different varieties of Morning Glories and I am uncertain as to how many seeds per hole I should sow. We have a fence line of several hundred feet that borders our yard and we love the Morning Glories! No, we aren't going to plant the entire fence line...LOL We also have five raised beds for our gardening needs. One will be dedicated to herbs only.

Thanks, as always!!

How many seeds do you have? Prepare the planting bed and plant one seed every three inches if you have enough seed, but only plant one every foot or so if you have a limited number. Also, start some of the seeds indoors in seed pots. You can use them to fill in, if few or none of the in-ground seeds emerge.

I'm not sure how many seeds I have as I haven't opened the bags yet. Tomorrow I'm going to go buy some pots and start them in pots as I think we still have some cold weather on the way. I'll re-post once I get the bags opened and pick up some pots. Thanks. :)

they are generally very strong flower. I would only do one. before you start do the float in water test to pick out those that are truly alive. I forgot which way it goes, but some float and some sink and its one or the other you use. google it.

Likely viable seeds will sink, or more precisely, some non-viable seeds will float because there are air spaces within, where they have not fully developed.
