I’m wanting to plant directly in the ground and I have my seeds soaking for tonight. Do I need a garden soil or manure? I’ve tried them before and only got blooms. I’ve read online they prefer poor soil. So my question is can I just stick them right in the ground with no extra soil or manure?

If you mix a little of manure and garden soil in the ground or area you are going to plant your morning glory seeds would be ok. You could plant some in the amended soil and plant some in just plain soil and see which is better. The Morning glorys I have are planted in amended soil and they return every year. Good luck
