I noticed that Narcissus x 'Hillstar' was profiled earlier on this thread. I recall at one time considering purchasing that cultivar, but in the end I selected another similar Jonquil hybrid (Div. 7): Narcissus x 'Pipit'. I know both cultivars were bred by Grant Mitsch many decades ago. At one time, I was even told they were sister seedlings. However, I don't believe that is literally true, as I have seen different parentage listed for each cross. Perhaps one day I shall grow 'Hillstar' as well.

Narcissus x 'Falconet': boldly colored, richly fragrant, and more than one flower per stem.
Bred by Grant Mitsch and registered in 1979, Narcissus x 'Falconet' is a winner of both the RHS Award of Garden Merit (1998) and the Wister Award (2007). It is a cross of Narcissus x 'Matador' and Narcissus jonquilla. This parentage is interesting and a bit surprising, as Narcissus x 'Falconet' is classifed as a Tazetta Hybrid (Division 8) instead of as a Jonquilla Hybrid (Division 7).
