Hi all,

After I got this spider plant as a gift from a friend, it got beaten up by the airbag in an auto accident on the way home :( . Overall, it's looking much better (thanks to those on this site who helped me out)! I had to do a lot of pruning off the beat up leaves and this is the result. The bases look awful! I thought maybe with some time it would heal itself, but it doesn't seem to be the case.

Anyone know what's happening? How to fix this issue? Or tips to avoid it in the future?

See photo.

Just leave it,don't water at all until pot is light.

These are pretty hardy plants and thrive on neglect in offices .

It should be ok and start growing away soon.

I agree with the above. Doesnt look to be any sort of danger to the plant, leave it be. It might grow back eventually, but I wouldnt put money on it.
