Money tree?

I have this plant (which I’ve had for a lil over a year) and according to the plant app I have it’s a money tree but my question is….isn’t it suppose to have more trunks to braid and such? I figured it would grow by now but it only seems to grow leafs. Can someone help me please?! Thanks you

The trouble with common names is they vary. That is not what I call a 'Money tree', and it is not the only other one. Have a look at Pachira, is it that you are expecting? The leaves look different to me.
