Narcissus x 'Hawera' is a most elegant miniature daffodil. This primary hybrid of N. jonquilla X N. triandrus was bred By Dr. William M. Thompson of New Zealand, in 1928, and remains enduringly popular to the present day. Categorized as a Triandrus Hybrid (Division 5), it is also the recipient of numerous awards, including in 2008. the Wister Award of the American Daffodil Society.
