Mickey Mouse Taro (Xanthosoma sagittifolium 'Albomarginata'), is a variegated form (or hybrid) of Malanga (Xanthosoma sagittifolium, formerly X. atrovirens), a tuberous Aroid (Araceae) native to Costa Rica, Panama, and tropical South America.
The exact identity of the Mickey Mouse Taro is difficult to determine as it rarely or never flowers. However, it is quite distinct from 'true' Taro (Colocasia esculenta), another tuberous Aroid native to southern and southeastern Asia, Taiwan, and Malesia.
