Master Composter training

Hi everyone I'm very excited that just got enroll into the Master Composter training from the NYC Botanical Garden located at Queens. There are 10 sessions (1 weekly of 3 hrs) and a field trip to a Compost facility. I hope that with this training I'll help the community and make myself a better gardener.

I have not heard of such a course so far and I have to admit that it sounds interesting. I have come across tutorials on composting but this seems to be more promising. I come from the tropics and I don't rear farm animals. This leaves me in a vulnerable position since I have to source manure from elsewhere. I would like to enquire whether this course is available online or by correspondence. Is it free?
