Hello,
We have a mango tree that is rather top-heavy. A branch broke off in the wind, revealing part of the inside is brown, and the rest of the top looks wobbly. Is there something we should do to save the tree, or is it normal? Thank you pics: https://postimg.cc/gallery/MBW2tQZ

Greetings, welcome to the Forums.

It is not certain, but your Mango (Mangifera indica) could be suffering from a brown rot or similar malady.
Please post photos of the tree and the wood at the site of the injury.

It's hard to be certain from the photo, but the dark color in the upper part of the wound is concerning. For now continue to give the tree good care and observe its growth. If the upper branch is rotting it may need to be removed. If the dark color seems to be spreading down the trunk or if you consider it a safety hazard, remove it now. However if there is healthy growth and you still get some fruit, you can wait and see. Even if the upper branch fails, the tree may regenerate from its base.
